Edit Mihali is today the most shining and outstanding Diva in the Albanian Lyric Theatre. She was born in the year 1949 at Tirana. At that time the powerful and insecure communist leadership of the small, with the enemies all around, country experienced a strong love affair with the Stalinist Soviet Union. The documentary records through her testimony her lonely and tough adventure on the field of the lyric art. At a time when the art in Albania, the movies, the visual arts and the opera especially, as powerful structures of the ideological propaganda enjoyed the generous sponsorship by the state and the strict control by the Party. The film shootings took place on October 2002, at the Tirana Opera Theatre. The film narration also involves archive film footage including newsreels and National Albanian Opera Theatre performances.
